July 18, 1991

I wake up feeling the same as yesterday.  I make my phone calls to let people know of my condition, then immediately note an improvement in my condition.  I take a shower, put in my eyes, but decide not to get dressed.  My burst of energy is short-lived, and I don't want to risk a relapse.

I sleep until 11:30 and am a bit horrified to discover my left hand is numb when I wake up.  A good shake brings back the feeling.

During the afternoon, I play with Eddie for a little bit but mostly lounge along in my room, watching TV and reading issues of the Village Voice.  At one point, I experience the day's second burst of energy.  I water the flower in the back yard.  JoAnna takes the boys so I can continue my peaceful recuperation.
