March 15, 1992

Midway through the morning, I realize that company is not going to be leaving at its usual early afternoon departure time.

"Hon, could you give Dad directions to East Washington?" JoAnna asks.

This is a trip he'll be making tomorrow morning, I think, and not from Two Rivers.  Another endurance-test kind of day, another day where I carefully position myself  so I won't have to be subjected to Larry's booming motormouth ramblings.  I spend as much time as the boys as possible. We go outside on three different occasions.  As the day wears on, Andy becomes increasingly moody, swinging back and forth between playful pleasantness and irritating cantankerousness.
