7213 Elmwood Avenue, some 20 years later
Big surprise on the way to work. Julia Sherman's house has a "for sale" sign posted in front of it. The reason for her move to Madison, as I later discover, has more to do with an ongoing custody battle with her husband than with recent council battles. It will be a major change for the library as Julia has been the only council liaison to the board for the past 8 years.
At a special board meeting, we talk about the endowment fund policy, and by the end of our one hour together, I have what seems to be enough raw material to transform into the first draft of a written policy.
