Ipana: How sparkling can you be?

Woman's Home Companion, July 1951

Woman's Home Companion was published monthly from 1873 to 1957.  As reflected in its circulation, the magazine reached the peak of its popularity in the 1930s and 1940s and emphasized fiction throughout its publication life.  The July 1951 issue, for example, features a novelette by Lorenzo Semple Jr.; short stories by Martha Prewitt, Val Teal, Vera Henry, and Brenda Weisberg; and a serial (part 1 of 3, "The Celebrity") by Laura Z. Hobson ("Gentleman's Agreement").
