"Dreamkeepers"

Madison Guy asks, "Are these the most photographed sculptures in Madison?"

Retiring Guy responds, "Mmmmm, could be!"

They certainly caused me to come to an abrupt stop while biking the Capital City Trail at the South Paterson Street crossing.

Doug Moe profiles the artist, Dr. Evermor, in a 5/14/2008 Wisconsin State Journal column, "Ever-entertaining artist is book fodder".

"A Mythic Obsession: The World of Dr. Evermor" is found at Google Book Search.

The Art of Grilling

Keep the coals at a moderate glow. No flaming.

Turn and reposition meat clockwise every 5 minutes. (Counter-clockwise is OK, I suppose.)

Don't go too heavy on the barbecue sauce.

Nessie Sighting at Stricker Pond!!

Funny how we coudn't detect any movement.

OK, so it's just some deformed tree trunk that managed to find itself 20 feet from shore.

But this picture's fuzzy focus does let the imagination run wild. (Isn't that how the whole thing got started?)
