August 24, 1991

We go to Farmers' Market in the morning, I work in the afternoon and then meet up with the others at Good Neighbor Fest, but not before I stop at home first and change.  

JoAnna is relieved to see me.  I take the kids to the midway area, and she joins her folks at the bingo tent.  Just as I'm ready to chow down, she announces that it's time to go home.  After the Packer game and the kids are in bed, the adult play cards -- Western poker.   But not late.

June 22, 1991

We wake up to a cool, overcast day, a welcome change from the heat and humidity of the past few days.  JoAnna wants to check on things at the Capitol.  While she and Eddie attend a press conference, Andy and I go up to the dome platform, where the gusts of wind make it feel like March.  Returning to the second floor, Andy tosses quarters down the stairs.  We circle the Square to check out the Farmers Market and then stop at Feingold's picnic at Lakeview Park.  JoAnna and Andy go grocery shopping, and I enjoy a lazy afternoon.  JoAnna and I talk about going out to a movie but stay home.

June 1, 1991

JoAnna and I take the boys to Farmers' Market.  It's Cows on the Concourse weekend.  A lot of people have the same idea so we're part of a large crowd.  During the last quarter of our perambulation around the Square, we notice a storm front moving in.  It wimps out and we're able to walk back to the parking ramp in a light rain.  We stop at Brennan's so JoAnna can buy ingredients for supper.  I find some plants for the garden:  tomatoes, cukes, peppers, herbs, and watermelon.  That's my afternoon project, which includes fencing in these new additions to keep out the bunnies.  JoAnna does bills during the evening and I keep the boys company.  Andy and I play baseball, 10 hits with the real wiffle ball bat, inside.  Tonight he uses his outside swing.
