November 15, 1991

Andy runs into the bedroom at 6:30 to watch Ninja Turtles.  We leave the house before 8, which means that I get to the library before 9.  I reprogram our voice-mail message to stress the point that we are if they have called during our regular hours, which are stated at the beginning of the message.  I continue to work on my Nuts and Bolts notes.  During the afternoon, I think about slacking off, but the upcoming magazine project requires my initial attention.

Andy and I go grocery shopping after a visit to the brown store.  Supper is pretty casual for the two of us.  Andy insists on sleeping in my bed, his privilege whenever JoAnna is not home.

July 10, 1991

Having written the minutes for the board meeting yesterday evening, I only have to check for typos this morning.  I spend 11 to 1 at the reference desk, nibbling on some cheese crackers I find in the staff lounge to delay my need for lunch, and 1 to 2:30 at the Station window (youth services desk, summer reading program).  I walk home and scarf down one of my grilled cheese specials.

Since JoAnna is among the merrymakers at Barb Worcester's bachelorette party, I pick up Andy at daycare.  We make the usual soda stop at the brown store.  Once we get home, Andy and I play 5 or 6 games of Candyland after Eddie goes to bed.

June 28, 1991

Not a movie that JoAnna and I cared to see.

My plan to be productive works to a point.  I finish the Middleton Times Tribune news column and start on the board report but don't get into anything meaty, like the long-range plan and collection development policy revisions.  The day zips by; for a Friday there's a large number of reference questions to tackle.

I pick up Andy and we stop at the "brown store" for soda.  I feed the boys, and then the three of us go to the park.
