Laundry and groceries in the morning.  Andy wants to stay home.  "But no one will be next to me," I whine facetiously.  To no avail.  Barb accompanies me as she wants to go to Shopko.  JoAnna attends Mary McNulty's baby shower during the afternoon.  While the boys are sleeping, I put the spreader together.  I spend the latter half of the afternoon doing yard work, which includes planting some flowers next to the perennials by the patio.  They provide a very appealing splash of color.  JoAnna fixes southern fried chicken for supper.  My martini buzz helps me focus intensely on kitchen clean-up.  It's like I'm on speed.  The stove receives a thorough cleaning underneath the drip pans, and the drip pans themselves are scrubbed furiously.  Then I go on ant patrol.  Both bathrooms are infested, though that verb probably overstates the case at this time.  Fortunately, the can of ant spray I recently purchased is not as overwhelmingly aromatic as the previous can.  I hope the formula is still effective.
