You can be sure..if it's Westinghouse (1948)

Westinghouse, the Undead Brand.

July 2, 1991

I kiddingly remind JoAnna to make sure she takes her portfolio to work.  I want no interruption this morning, as I've given myself a long list of chores to do.  Like take out the garbage, which this week includes sawing the changing table into bagable pieces.  Disassembling the entertainment center that we moved into the garage last fall.  Organizing the contents of the garage.  Performing some routine bike maintenance.  I'm a greasy, sweaty mess by 11.

As promised, I take Andy to Hardee's for supper.  He can't sit still the entire time we're in the restaurant.

Westinghouse Electric Elevator Company Ad Features the Racine County Courthouse

Hazleton Pennsylvania Post Office (Postcard Series)

July 1, 1991

A crashing thunderstorm follows me home for lunch.  As I'm fixing myself a fajita, a bolt of lightning violently cracks the air.  I immediately jump out of my shoes and expect to hear the wailing of a terrorized Eddie.  He beams me one of his beatific smiles.  What a guy.  He knows no fear yet.

After the skies clear, I tie up the tops of the tomato plants.  The heavy downpour left them drooping precariously.

Andy and I go for our usual soda stop on the way home from daycare.  He wants to go to the park, but I prefer to stay home and watch the Pirates and Cubs on TV.  JoAnna gets back home around 8
